Below is the information about the Barracuda Meet on Nov. 10 & 11 at the Betty Kelly-Kenning Swim Complex. The cover letter explains the events. Note that ONLY the 800 and 1500 Free are swum on the Friday night.


As Nancy said at the meeting last night – we will do relays based on the kids who are entered and we will try to let everyone swim a relay. The meet should end between 2 and 3 pm, so I will need you to plan and stay for the whole time if you want to do the relays.

Family Guardian Invitational Swim Meet


The Barracuda Swim Club (BSC) hereby invites all member clubs, unattached registered swimmers in the BSF, and Florida Gulf Coast Swimmers to the Barracuda Swim Club Insurance Management Invitational.



Date of Competition: Friday and Saturday, November 10th and 11th, 2006


Venue: BKKNAC


Friday Warm-up: 4:30PM


Friday Meet Start: 6:00 PM


Saturday Warm-up: 7:00 AM


Saturday Meet Start: 8:30 AM


Age-Groups


**The events listed as OPEN will be scored as 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & over.


**The events listed as 9 &over will be scored as 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & over.


**The events listed as 11 & over will be scored as 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & over.


**The relays are listed as 12 & under and 13 & over. This is how they will be swum and scored. This is to allow greater participation from clubs who may not have relay teams in their regular age groups. The fly and breaststroke relays will also allow lead-off swims to get times in the 50 of both strokes.


Meet Fees and Surcharges are as follows:


Individual Events: $4.00


Relays: $10.00


BSF Surcharge per swimmer: $2.00




Maximum Entries:


8&under: 0 on Friday 2 on Saturday


9-10: 0 on Friday 3 on Saturday


11&Over: 2 on Friday and 3 on Saturday





Entries and Deadlines


The Barracuda Swim Club will accept no late entries or deck entries for this invitational. The entry deadline is Friday, November 3, 2006 at 9:00 PM . Please submit entry via email to Coach Mark Sowa at sowa42@yahoo.com in Team Manager Format. Coaches will receive Psyche Sheet by 9:00 PM on Sunday November 5th, 2006. They will also be posted on www.barracudaswimming.org. Corrections will be due by Monday, November 6th, 2006 at 8:00 PM .





Awards


Individual medals will be awarded for the first through third finishers in each event. Ribbons will be awarded for finishers 4-8th.
